Just the way you are...

A while ago I wrote a very long post about what was, at the time, attractive to me with regards to the opposite sex.

The funny thing is so much of that list doesn't apply to me any more. My life has spun in a completely different direction in the last 5 years both personally and professionally. Where an unattached reader might see simple immaturity (not saying it's not there) I also see old hurt and loss. Read the entry two down and you'll understand. So, much of that list is a rejection of someone else as an affirmation of personal desire.

Yeah, I still like girls who wear pony/pig tails and lingerie. I won't lie. But one through five?

As things stand right now I've found someone who loves me. Who actually loves me. The whole package. Good and bad.

I'm not sure I've ever really had that before. Sure, I've been in love and loved others. There have been passionate moments along the way...

But no one who's ever held on to me like her. No one who, in the middle of the night, makes me feel better knowing she's beside me. When I hold her I feel something, it feels special. That's new. Truly.

So if her hair is short or long, really that's just a preference. I've seen her both ways and she's still makes me happy. She still challenges me. The length of her hair hasn't got anything to do with that. And it doesn't matter if she wears make up or not because she's my favorite person either way. She's the person I want to spend time with, for whom waiting or deciding is never a chore for me.

I love her and she loves me.

And for the record: She's great in bed...and out of bed too ;-)
