...No Mr. Bond I expect you to die.

Congrats!
Fil finished his book! Congrats
Fil!
BTW: Quick note to
Homes...sorry I missed the
shin-dig. I overslept. I can't believe it myself. Sorry dude.
Finally, it's beautiful in Orlando today. Tomorrow my father and I are going to
Disney. Tonight, we mini-golf. I'll tell you, I really do enjoy this city when the temperatures are bearable. It's an entire city dedicated to fun, how can you not love it? D.C. has a lot of entertaining things too but you can't really beat year round mini-golf. Or huge stinking rollercoasters either.
That is all.
O-R-L-A-N-D-O
Well, here I am. Made it in yesterday. It's pretty damn cool. So anyway, I'm out of town. I'm befuddled by people on the roads. People who are willing to go 70mph through a 55mph work zone refuse to go 80mph when there is a legitimate 70mph speed limit. Mostly these people are from New Jersey.
See you Monday.
That is all.
"Maybe I could be a truck driver. What's the name of that truck driving school we saw on TV? 1-800-TRUCKMASTER? I might need that."
Quotes from
Top Gun aside I'm having a pretty shitty day.
I had interviewed for a job with a company called
Microlink for a contract that they had been ordered to fill. I then went on
another interview with the contractor. Then I waited two weeks as the final contract papers were being "sorted out". I was assured that the contract was going through and just needed "one more person to sign off on it"
I spoke to my "senior technical recruiter" yesterday. I told her that when a major corporation hemmed and hawwed this much over a contract that it usually meant they didn't intend to fulfill it. I asked her point blank if it was going through. She said yes. Then I got a call this morning telling me the contract had been postponed until "early 2003".
I'll be quite honest,
Microlink hasn't impressed me much. They have limited contact with you and fail to inform you of key pieces of information. If you're considering using them, my recommendation would be don't waste your time.
That is all.
Lowering my self-esteem
Also, I want to thank
JungFroid for enhancing my
body image difficulties...jesus,
my ass is big...but I think
my gut bothers me more.
*sigh* But dude,
the movies are AWESOME! I highly recommend
neener11. There is a story behind it. Nina took two shots at one pigeon. Usually it's one shot per pigeon in skeet. But it was her first time and she didn't know. Also, she plays a lot of video games and, I think, as a consequence, sometimes forgets that in the "real world" ammo is not unlimited.
Quick note on
this picture...the reason I'm handing the gun to Keril so carefully is, well, about five minutes before the photo was taken, Keril nearly killed us all. Well, maybe not killed but certainly grievously injured. He turned around to either ask a question or make a comment...forgetting at the time that he had
a loaded weapon pointed at our group. Furious George moved so quickly that for a brief moment I believe he actually was in two places at once. The rest of the group kind of scattered and we all yelled. Keril, to his credit, realized his mistake and didn't overreact. He quickly and calmly pointed the loaded gun away and apologized. It certainly got the blood pumping and it even improved Keril's accuracy.
There are a lot more tales to tell. Jung should probably elaborate...if not I'll get around to it, just like the
other incident.
That is all.
That is all.
Lazy and blind in the eyes...
Why is it I only watch the sun rise when I'm on the beach? Anyway, it's beautiful.
Hey, if you live in the D.C. area and are looking for a help desk assistant please go
here and then get a hold of me.
So it's early, I'm going to go drink some tea and finish watching the sun and then go to bed.
Happy Birthday to my little sister Dina! She's 25 today! Love ya sis!
That is all.
Attractive?
No, I'm not talking about some
stupid web-site.
I've been thinking a bit lately about what I find attractive in women. Sort of compiling a mental list of things beyond the obvious curves, you know, breasts, butt and legs. Rather, these are traits, habits and other attributes of women who appeal to me. Mind you, this is not a list of things I WANT in a S.O. just various things I find attractive, mostly physical by the way, if you want emotional well, there are a few, come back another day, maybe.
1. Accent, I don't care if its Brit or Southern. Most accents are damn hot.
2. Colored Hair, something about these angsty goth girl types. don't care for the personality but girls with the pink or blue or purple just does something. (oh yeah, YOUR tastes all make sense)
3. One insignificant neurosis, it doesn't matter what it is. the like of something or dislike of it founded in complete illogic. it's cute...really.
4. Asian, yeah, i know, terrible. and yet I still list it. why? cause it's true.
5. Feminine grace, don't give me tomboys. give me a real girl, with all the maddening little rituals that take forever. it's worth it.
6. Decisiveness, god, I hate asking for an opinion and getting back a "well, what do you think?"
7. Lingerie, yeah, I admit it. I love women who wear it. the good stuff, not just bra and panties. and not just cause they think guys like it. also, this includes girls who
don't wear it. specifically, panties...you know who you are...and i love you.
8. Flirts, winks, lip licking and girls who know how to turn a double entandre. yeah, I didn't spell that right but you know what i mean...know what i mean. there's a skill to it, it's almost subtle but not quite and not just any old idiot can pull it off. this includes the ablility to actually talk about sex without fear of it being naughty or dirty or wrong...this also includes hot girls who smack their tushies.
9. Pony tails, le rowr! this would also include catholic school girl outfits not covered in no 7. they complete the look. i'm serious, stop laughing.
10. Fantasies and masturbation, any woman who does these two things is not going to let you down. trust me cause i've had a lot of girlfriends who didn't and they all let me down.
11. Long hair, yeah, this kind of goes with the feminine thing. what can i say? i like girls that look like girls and short hair doesn't cut it. i swear i didn't mean for that to be a pun...really, i'm not like this all the time i swear.
Wow, actually about even on the whole physical/emotional. Maybe I'm not a shallow as I thought. No, I am. Never hurts to double check though.
That is all.

Speak of the Devil
I was having lunch with
Fil,
Homer and Tony today. Some how,
Fil actually, my ex-girlfriend came up and the usual ribbing began. It was pretty funny. We all had a good laugh. We went on and I thought nothing of it. Then I got home and found this...

Subject: thank you
Nicholas,
This is the only email address I have for you. I wanted to write and
say thank you for all the support that you gave me in the past. I just
got my bar results back and actually passed. Today I received my
certificate in the mail recommending me into the Pennsylvania Bar. I didn't
think it would feel this exciting, but it's a fabulous feeling. One
that I hope you get the opporunity to feel very soon.
Anyway, I certainly don't know if I would be here right now if it
wasn't for all the great support and encouragement you gave me and for that
I thank you.
I hope all is well.
Take Care,
Sabrina
See...this proves, women are the devil.
BTW: Note, no mention of my birthday. Do you remember
what I said? See, I'm not a liar. Also, this proves that, as in our relationship, she only thinks of herself. She was that way in bed too.
That is all.
Some where between bitter disappointment and deep regret
Tomorrow, Nov. 5th, is my 26th birthday. I'm not looking forward to it but not because I'm getting older, well, not JUST because I'm getting older. I miss having people make a fuss over my birthday and in the last few years, well, it's stung a little more each time.
During the period where I actually had a girlfriend, she didn't care.
When I lived back in Chicago, my friends blew me off.
I guess I'd really like a fuss. And I've never been one of those people to say "Don't make a fuss." I really wouldn't mind. I'd love a roast...or even better a suprise party...or even better a suprise party roast!
It's all the more this year because the one person who used to make a fuss over my birthday isn't speaking to me.
Charlie Brown has competition. *SIGH*
That is all.
PS: Thanks to Tony (aka Furious George) and Rebeka for taking me out to dinner, even if I did drive and it was a day early.
