Resource management

Right off the bat I'm warning you, this isn't going to be a pleasent commentary. I don't like reading this type of thing, much less writing it. It has to do with bodily functions.

Every day we consume and expend. Our body determines where those resources are used or stored. In an electronic or mechanical system we can determine the distribution of those resources and while the human body has electric and mechanical components we are biological systems. We can't really control where our body puts the resources it obtains.

I'm a pretty hairy guy. Thick hair on my arms, face and, yes, back. Over the the last couple of weeks I've noticed on my desk at work the amount of hair that falls off just my arms in a given day. Literally, if I just rub my arm for a minute I get a small pile of folicles. Yuck. But here's where it gets creepy. After five minutes, I can do it again. And again. And again. AND IT NEVER GETS ANY THINNER.

Let me first say, I take a shower every day, wash with soap, etc. This scares me. What kind of sick resource management is going on in my body that I can produce THAT much hair...ON JUST MY ARM. Seriously, that's just not right. Also, I can't help but think that the resources going into arm hair production could probably be used somewhere more vital. Like, say, hair production on my head or producing steriods to keep my goddamn tonsils from swelling or fighting infection. Or a hundred other things more vital than arm hair. Someone needs to invent something that allows me finer control in my body's system resources.

Or maybe I need to just start shaving...

That is all.
