Syntax
Do you know one person with a blog who hasn't used that as a title or lead in for thier blog? Hehe.
I, personally, like the word "
plying", as in "I plied her with liquor." It sounds vaugly dirty, like something that isn't all that nice, which, it isn't.
Unless you like being plied. See? That sounded dirty but not directly insulting. Nothing you could really point to and wave a finger at while saying "Naughty." I recommend trying it out in the near future. No, using the word, not
actually plying someone with liquor...ah, what the hell do both! Let me know how it works out.
That is all.

Petty moaning and bitching
Is it really
SO much to ask that when you send someone an e-mail they
READ the damn thing? I helped my sister purchase a computer. The confirmation and shipping info was sent to me, I forwarded it along to sister and father. Within twenty minutes,
twenty, I received two e-mails asking me if it was confirmed and being shipped!
GOD DAMN IT!!!
A minor complaint in the grand scheme but damned if it's the small shit that makes life difficult.
That is all.
The Bear Necessities
"This is easily the gayest thing we've done together...this week."
Our boss gave us thank you notes with gift certificates in them. So naturally to thank her for it, we got her a gift. She's a big teddy bear fan, so we went to
Build-A-Bear in the Tyson's Corner Mall. This visit also inspired me to make the comment above to Neal B. Furious George was also with us, adding to collective shame of the event with his trademark wit and humor, or humour if you're Canadian or British.
Have you ever been to
Build-A-Bear? It's quite a horrific experience. The have boxes and boxes of these lifeless bear husks in huge bins reaching to the sky...I've seen the bins, with my own eyes, sometimes at night I can still see them. So once you've picked your husk out you then take it to the stuffing station where it can be "filled with love" (more on this later BTW). Basically it's a machine that, using air pressure, blows stuffing into the bear/animal husk. I thought it'd be kind of funny to sit there and, in a high pitched voice, scream "AAAAAAAAAA.......IT BURNS! IT BURNS! IF YOU'RE FILLING ME WITH LOVE WHY DOES IT HURT SO!!!" and freak out all the little kids. When I made this comment to my fellows, well, I don't think the surrounding parents found it funny. Man, parents, they just don't understand.
So after "stuffing our bear with love" (still more to come on this, but you can fill in your own jokes in the meantime), which included adding a heart, which I'm fairly certain didn't end up near the traditional "heart" area, and lo-jacking the bear (they put in this bar code so that if your bear is ever lost and returned to build-a-bear they can return it to you) we gave the bear an air-bath (which is as gay as it sounds) and then proceed to create the bear's birth certificate. We bought clothes and dressed the bear (very gay).
This is the part that you've been waiting for, upon giving said bear (named Pepe) to the recipient we noted that on the birth certificate was a notation, in addition to all vital stats, saying "Stuffed with love by Neal and Nick". Now go back and read the quote at the top. Go on...I'll wait.
Good. Now do you see what I mean?
That is all.

I now own a skating rink
As you may or may not know, I recently moved. Further, because of my move I had a very large pile of broken down cardboard boxes in the middle of my apartment. No longer. I've also managed to clean it a bit, however, this has left me with a
very large open space in the middle of my apartment. Add to this the fact that I have newly polished wood flooring and well, if you're wearing socks, it's a skating rink. I've nearly fallen on my bum twice in the last twenty minutes. Not good. Going to need some rugs real soon.
Not that you care, but hey, it's kind of amusing. Maybe not.
But my office closet shelving is the bomb, yo!
That is all.

In other news...
I think I may have caught a cold or the flu. I can feel it in my lungs. I'm getting all the little signals you get just before it hits. I'm trying to beat biology with metaphysics. I just keep chanting to myself "
I'm not sick. I'm not sick. I'm not sick. I'm not sick." Let's hope Budda had it right.
Anywho...more contact with the
Tease. Same thing, two nights in a row. "Tell me I'm pretty." Now it's getting old.
I also have a planned list of things to accomplish this weekend.
1. Get rid of cardboard boxes still littering floor of apartment.
2. Buy shelfing for office supply closet.
3. Buy new light bulbs for lamps.
4. Hang pictures on walls.
5. Laundry.
6. Take out trash.
7. Install new software (possibly new OS too) and vid card.
8. Burn software CD for Neal B.
Damn, that list is longer than I'd thought. Well, I'll see how many I get done. Also, to all four of you reading this, I'll be posting more regularly and possibly even setting up my own site so I can add pix, etc.
That is all.
Fuck Bill Gates, fuck him up his stupid ass
I'm so frustrated with getting junk mail forwarded to my cel phone. I never get any important messages or alerts. So I turned the fucking alert option off.
That is all.

Tease
An old female friend called me tonight. We've known each other for going on ten years, we've also always been attracted to each other. She calls me when she's feeling neglected, when she wants someone to show interest. There's no possible way anything will ever happen between us, the friendship means too much right now but when she calls I feign interest. I flirt, she flirts. We make inappropriate comments that are just on the right side of decency...
just. I don't know why. Maybe because it's consequence free fun, maybe because it's how we first felt when we met, maybe, nahh, that's too private.
That is all.
