I mock and I mock and what does it get me?
Let's see...If my memory serves me correctly...
I've mocked
Homer regarding his hairstyle and
Fil regarding his gaming log. Well, mocked may be too strong, but at least teased.
No response. What does it take to get under their skins? I'm just trying to get a little inter-blog warefare going on here. No one appreciates me.
Did I mention my mother is coming to visit this weekend? Could be why I'm getting my guilt on.

Boo-ya!
I'm a

Homer's Treo, 2002-2002 RIP
My friend
Homer lost his
Treo after having it less than two months. He's taking it pretty well, considering.
Now let's have a moment of silence.

This is what my life comes down to...
My friend Ross recommended this to me.
Pornolize.com
In other news, interview on Monday (yea!) and only a week or so till
Spiderman comes out.
I've started looking for a job back in Washington, D.C. My friends, my life is back there. I didn't realize that until I left it. Funny how that works. For six years I bitched about getting back to the midwest when I'd built a pretty nice life for myself in Washington. Damn Joni Mitchell. I should have moved but only to a new apartment. I just hope things haven't gone to hell in the time I've been here.
My life is very confused. I need to get into law school, I need to get back to the coast. I just need the means to do so first.

The World as a Blur
Right now I'm so tired that I can't clearly focus on any one thing. The world is just a blur to me right now. To be honest, I prefer life this way. No sleep and constantly on the go means that I'm actually living instead of sitting around. I'm tired be cause I've been doing and while I may not be able to recall the things I'm doing at least I'm out there doing them!

The Scorpion King
Not bad, but not great.
A lot of good action but it felt like parts of it were pieced together from other action movies of the past. I counted Indian Jones (Temple), Rambo 2, Conan the Barbarian and a smattering of Lethal Weapon/James Bond/Enter the Dragon. It was fun though, I did enjoy myself and The Rock certainly establishes himself as a viable action hero. I'd recommend it. Go, but don't expect too much. Just sit back and enjoy it. I will say this, I was never bored, frequently amused and occasionally awed.
Out.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That was a sigh of
JOY in case you were wondering.
It finally cooled off here. It's now around 60 degrees. It's perfect.
Thank you Got in Himmel!

Of all the things I've stopped doing...
...I miss sex the most.
Yeah, it's another take on an old joke but I couldn't resist. And it's true too.
That's probably more than you wanted to know. Sorry.
Women in fedora's look hot!
It's true.
Hey, there's water in my cup!
I like to have a cup of water next to me where ever I go. When I sleep, I have a cup of water, when I work, when I sit on the couch...you get the idea.
Usually I drink it pretty quickly, but every now and then I leave a small amount in the bottom and forget about it. Then when you go to get more water you realize, hey, there's still water in here. More than I'd like to admit it ends badly. Usually with me spilling the water over myself. Such is life. But it's sort of like finding $5 in your jeans that you forgot about. Only, you can't spend it and it's wetter. I never said it was a perfect analogy.

That can't be good
I just looked at the sell by date on the buns I ate at dinner tonight. Nov. 3rd. Ouch.
Staying alive...
Gas leak taken care of, uh, I hope.
Anyway, all single men should rejoice today, especially my friend
Fil, because Mandy Moore turned 18 today. That's right, she's now legal. Of course we don't like the music, just the beauty.
Sexist, yes, but true.

If you don't hear from me send pie...
Uh, there's a gas leak in my apartment. No joke. The pilot light on my stove went out and since then there's been a noticable
ODOR of gas in my place. Well, not noticable to me any more. Though I do have a pounding headache. I think that might be a sign of something. So I'm trying to stay near the windows, and I have several fans on to keep the air moving. But still, if you don't hear from me for a couple days, send pie. If, after a few days, I haven't said thank you, call my apartment manager. There could be trouble and tell them not to use any matches to light their way into my gas filled

This is getting out of hand...
OUT OF HAND
Words to live by...
That a woman conceived me, I thank her; that she
brought me up, I likewise give her most humble
thanks: but that I will have a recheat winded in my
forehead, or hang my bugle in an invisible baldrick,
all women shall pardon me. Because I will not do
them the wrong to mistrust any, I will do myself the
right to trust none; and the fine is, for the which
I may go the finer, I will live a bachelor.

Much Ado About Nothing by William Shakespeare

Gone Fishin'
My friend
Fil has a
gaming log which is kind of what I'm referencing.
See
Fil is also responsible for hooking me (no pun intended, ok, maybe intended a little) on
Sega Bass Fishing.
Why is this bad you ask? Well
this is a general indication of how some in the gaming community view fishing games.
Blame
Fil contact him
here and tell him how he's a bad, bad man (and not in the
Leroy Brown sense.)
Now Playing: Sega Bass Fishing
Daddy like
Now that's what I'm talking about!
Spring forward
I both love and hate spring forward. For simple reasons.
I hate it because I lose an hour of sleep.
I love it because the day lasts longer and while I love the night I like daylight too. I feel more productive during the days and when there's more of them I feel even more so.
Spring forward BITCH! I'm ready! Really, I am.
Last Night
Well, I slept in too late today. Then I got up and cleaned the apartment. For some reason when I clean it only seems to last a few hours at best, that's frustrating. Maybe it's because I live here. I dunno.
I'm feeling a little lonely. I miss my friends on the coast. And they seem to have forgotten about me. Oh well.
The people I thought I would be hanging out with when I moved back to the Midwest seem not to care either. I feel like a man without a nation.
Enough of the personal pity party. I'll figure it out.
OUT.

Ameritech in Chicago has been having troubles all week with their DSL broadband. Makes life annoying.
In other news, uh, nothing.
I'll write something this weekend.

Women are nuts 2 or why am I being blamed for this when it's not my fault...
Witnessed something this week which brought back memories of something I've been meaning to talk about for a while.
I witnessed an argument between two friends who are dating. The guy was blamed for something that was not even remotely his fault, he could have in no way, shape or form predicted the given incident and did the best he could when it occured which is more than some might have done (like me for instance.)
It reminded me of a time with my ex-girlfriend. It was either memorial day or labor day weekend. The one that occurs in September. Anywho, I'm at my girlfriend's apartment in Pittsburgh, PA. We have her apartment to ourselves the entire weekend. As couples are wont to do in empty apartments we start to fool around (quick aside here, this is especially important because, as previously mentioned, this girl was a
COLD fish. Actually getting her to have sex was like a minor miracle.) So in the midst of our activities we ended up breaking her bed. Now, understandably, she was upset. She'd just moved into this apartment and she was particularly proud of the matching bed, nightstand and dresser. They were vintage and this girl was very shallow so
THINGS ment a lot to her. As I said we were in the midst of our little tryst when this happened, so naturally this was a bit of a crimp. Any normal person would have moved the mattress to the floor and continued on, she inspected the damage first. Then moved the mattress to the floor and proceeded to pout the rest of the night away. So no luck for me, left with a hard-on and a cold bed. Next day I go out (it's Sunday morning) by some grace of GOD find a hardware store that's open, spend $80 on supplies to fix said bed (another aside here, last I heard from ex-girlfriend bed is STILL fixed and very sturdy, who's the master carpenter now NORM ABRAMS?!?!) and then spend 2 hours on very complete repair job (note previous aside). Did I get any that weekend? In a word, NO. Why? I have no fucking clue why. It wasn't my fault the bed broke. We were both on it, and both involved in the action that broke it. Yet she blamed ME.
WHY? Cause she's a woman and therefore inherently psycho.
This has happened to every guy I know. He's had to take the blame for something that wasn't his fault. Further, there was no way in hell he could of predicted whatever happened and when it did he did the best he could to put things right. Yet he's the one that catches all the shit. He's the one who, in the future, the woman will blame when she tells the story to friend and relatives at dinner parties and over lunches. She may tell it in a funny, non accusatory way but everyone there gets that she blames him and no matter how well the guy proves he's not at fault, he gets the blame.
That's why I encourage you guys "fortunate" enough to be in committed relationship to not bow down to this tactic. Fight back, you're probably not going to get any that night anyway, might as well preserve your manhood when she trys to publicly or privately immasculate you.
Course that's my opinion but I'm not wrong.

@!#$%*&!
My computer is mad at me. Very upset that I left it alone for a long weekend.
It deleted my bookmarks. I'm very pissed about this as I had a ton of useful information and resources stored.
It's been crashing like nobody's business.
I've had to reinstall I.E. 6 about three different times.
It's been having difficulties with my USB hubs.
Oh yeah, and I've been having problems with my internet connection.
I'm very, very irked by all this. All in all, it's been a shitty week...so far.
