36% addicted to Instant Messenger. How about you?

But that's much better than my friend Homer who is in the 70th percentile.

I'm still learning

HTML is new to me. I'm figuring it out. So bare with me while I figure out everything with this blog.

It should be fun.

In the mean time...

I HATE YOU ALL

And he's my friend...

Recently my friend Mike D sent me and 10 other unfortunate souls a long, detailed description of his first NBA game. Fortunately, for you dear reader, I'm not going to subject you to the horror that was this BORING little diatribe. I will, however, share my response to this unwarranted attack on my sanity. In an effort to steal away from Mike the 4 minutes of my life that he so cunningly took from me. It was an act of vengance but well deserved and a lot funnier than his little rant (if you could call it that). I post them here for postarity:

And this is why we're glad that Mike doesn't have an audience larger than 11 people. Four minutes of my life I'll never get back.
PS: I know this is only going to you, Mike. I have this rule about e-mail being longer than your cc list.

Did you get the damn phone yet?!?!

Pesky, ain't I?

And that's why we're glad Nick doesn't have a large audience either.
PS: This is the last one. Really.

Ok. I lied. But many Bothans died to bring you this e-mail. Plus, that makes us about even for the four minutes of my life you stole from me.

Ok, so upon further reflection it's not that funny. But it's still funnier than Mike's rant, believe me. And as an added bonus I've stolen 4 minutes of your life as well. I'LL LIVE FOREVER!!! or at least 45 minutes longer than I would have.

It should come as no shock that...

I Am A: Lawful Evil Human Ranger Paladin

Alignment:
Lawful Evil characters believe that a nice, orderly system of life is perfect for them to abuse for their own advancement. They will work within 'the system' to get the best that they can for themselves.

Race:
Humans are the 'average' race. They have the shortest life spans, and because of this, they tend to avoid the racial prejudices that other races are known for. They are also very curious and tend to live 'for the moment'.

Primary Class:
Rangers are the defenders of nature and the elements. They are in tune with the Earth, and work to keep it safe and healthy.

Secondary Class:
Paladins are the Holy Warriors. They have been chosen by a God/dess to be their representative on Earth, and must follow the code of that deity, or risk severe penalties. They tend towards being righteous, but not generally to excess.

Find out What D&D Character Are You?, Thanks toNeppyMan (e-mail)

Leann Rimes Gets Married

That is to say, REALLY young women getting married.

Too Much Fun

Ahhhhhhhh....CS on Fil's server tonight. I missed dinner and didn't get to a lot of little things, didn't watch any TV. Just played CS. Did ok for a while but seemed to really stink it up near the end. Oh well. It was fun. And I got to experience another Neil Smith moment.

My eyes are tired. Think I'll try and figure out some sustinance for the night.

This is an actual e-mail from my father:

"Hi Sorry I could not talk to you tonight hope all is well Call me tomorrow night if you can or just e-mail me to let me know you are ok. I really would like to just rap with you Love Dad"

That's sweet you say. But there's something you don't understand. My Dad is lonely. Very, very lonely. He calls constantly and could not be more desperate for attention. And sweet Jesus did he actually say RAP with you?!?! Dear sweet God in heaven. Could anything be sadder or more pathetic? Boy he really knows how to "get down" verbally with the kids today. So, so, so very sad.

These kinds of thoughts get me in trouble...

Ah, church. I went this morning. See the priest is a friend of mine. Knowing a priest is cool. And he's a great guy.

But, and I know this may offend, I don't really like the whole "church" thing.

I honestly don't get it.

A bunch of normally intelligent people stand and sit and stand and kneel and stand and touch themselves (crossing themselves) and say certain things that they're told they should say when the priest or whoever tells them to. They dress up in their more formal clothing and stand around and listen to someone who's basically done a lot of reading tell them that they're sinners and only their faith in God will save them from an eternity of damnation.

Now I'm not going to get into a discussion about the existance of God but sufficit to say that I don't think God really cares if you wear a suit and tie to church or say "Amen" or cross yourself or stand, sit, stand, kneel, sit stand etc. In my mind God just wants you to lead a good life, keep love and Him in your heart. I think that's enough. Really I do. And I think God thinks so too. He just wants you to make Him a daily part of your life.

And this is where the "church" thing gets to me. People think that if they go in once a week, sit quietly for a couple of hours, do what their told and eat some terrible bread and bargain basement wine they'll go to heaven. Churches and organized forms of religion are dangerous in my opinion.

And yet I go. To please my Mom. And to see my friend. I just consider it like visiting a friend's house. You respect their rules. But that also explains why I usually show up late.

Another Saturday night and I ain't got nobody...

I don't even have any money 'cause I don't have a damn job yet. HOT SUCK!

Trying to find some people to play CS on Fil's server but, alas, they all probably have places to be tonight. I hope I don't get into law school so I can move back to DC.
